Discipleship:
The “D” in L.E.A.D.

At 4africa, discipleship is not an isolated event. It is woven into every element of our programs because we believe lasting transformation begins with the gospel.  It is the foundation of a Discipled Nation Builder.  Our mission is Ephesians 4:12—"to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." (NIV)

A Pipeline of Centered Leaders

As many of our students come from home environments marked by loss and trauma (83% of students at LASS are refugees), our priority is to model God’s love by providing a nurturing, caring teaching staff and a care group of peers who share meals together, study the Bible, and tackle key issues such as tribalism.

From our Leadership Academies to our university fellowships, 4africa’s LEAD program is rooted in sharing and multiplying the gospel.  Each step is designed to build a pipeline of Christ centered leaders who share their faith in homes, churches and in their community.

Our model includes:

  • Weekly Bible study, fellowship, and discipleship at the Leadership Academy

  • Community outreaches and public prayer gatherings with students and alumni

  • Breaking down barriers of tribalism through mixed care groups and activities

  • Spiritual counseling and mentoring through our specially trained faculty and contracted counselors

  • University Bible fellowships led by students in secular institutions

  • Student-led generosity: gospel-centered acts of service, compassion, and giving.

“Everything changed during our discipleship orientation at the academy. Since then, my faith has come alive. I now treasure my quiet time with God. I talk to Him daily and listen for His voice. Fasting has become a meaningful space to hear from Him. Bible study and Morning Glory at LASS are my anchors, and Sunday services are no longer just events, but moments of real connection and growth.”
