Entrepreneurship is essential for long-term economic growth. In East Africa, 60% of university graduates struggle to find jobs in their degree path, which is why we invest in a new generation of job creators—not just job seekers.

LEAD Academy | Stage 1 Entrepreneurship  

Entrepreneurship training begins at our Leadership Academies through hands-on learning and real-world application, including:  

  • Product skilling and group business projects  

  • Business coaching and support services  

  • Pitching opportunities to present ventures to stakeholders 

  • Prize funding to reinvest in student-led enterprises  

Tijara Lab

is 4africa’s entrepreneurship hub serving Leadership Academy students and alumni across the LEAD Network. It builds a community where entrepreneurs collaborate, learn, and grow through:  

  • Year-round training in finance, marketing, sales, and digital tools  

  • One-on-one mentorship and coaching  

  • Pitch events, market exposure, and growth pathways  

  • Connections to seed funding opportunities

Our students and alumni are given opportunities to pitching and showcase their businesses, develop their ideas through mentorship and trainings, and receive funding through our pitch events and innovation incubator.
